A few words about our background and approach…

We are a brother and sister team, combining our experience and skills to assist students in the complex and often stressful process of applying to colleges and universities.

Bruce Johnson has a doctoral degree from Harvard, taught in the Department of Education at Bogazici University for 12 years and recently retired from Tufts University near Boston. He has many years of firsthand undergraduate and graduate admissions committee experience.

Catherine Johnson has a master’s degree in education and 44 years experience as a writing teacher, professional editor and writing coach.

Together we have successfully helped students gain admission to: Cornell, Smith, USC, Mount Holyoke, Harvard, University of California-Santa Cruz, Duke, Haverford, Brandeis, University of Massachusetts-Amherst, Bryn Mawr, Merrimack, Boston College and numerous other American universities.

While we understand that each family has different expectations, it is our experience that working directly with the student produces the best outcomes.  Unfortunately we cannot guarantee acceptances into colleges. We are consultants.
